Baseline Logs is an iPhone app for recording symptoms, medications, food and appointments. This policy covers the app and this website. Questions: [email protected].

The short version

• Your health logs are stored on your iPhone. There is no Baseline Logs account, and your health data is never sent to a Baseline Logs server.
• We don't use ads, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't sell or share your information.
• You can export or delete everything at any time.

What stays on your phone

• Everything you enter in the app (check-ins, journal entries, medications, doses, food, photos, appointments, questions and setup answers) is stored only on your iPhone and protected by iOS file encryption.
• Your iPhone's own iCloud or computer backups may include app data, under Apple's terms.

What leaves your phone, and only when you use it

• Nutrition lookup. Food search words are sent to USDA FoodData Central, and barcode numbers to Open Food Facts, to look up nutrition. No health data, photos or personal details are sent with them.
• Apple Health. If you connect it, the app reads step counts. It never writes to Apple Health.
• WHOOP. If you connect it, the app reads your recovery, sleep and strain directly from WHOOP when you view them. It keeps them in memory briefly and never saves them to your phone or backups. Signing in passes through a small Baseline Logs relay that exchanges sign-in keys with WHOOP and stores nothing; your WHOOP data never goes through it. WHOOP data is never used for AI. Disconnecting asks WHOOP to cancel access and deletes the keys from your phone.
• Subscriptions. Premium is bought, billed and canceled through Apple. The app checks your subscription with Apple on your phone. We don't receive your payment details, and no health data is sent for this.
• Reports and backups leave your phone only when you export or share them yourself. Exported backups are not encrypted, so keep them private.

This website and the waitlist

• If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to tell you about Baseline Logs, such as early access and launch. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
• The waitlist is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We don't sell or share it.
• This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
• To be removed from the waitlist, email [email protected] and we'll delete your address.

Your choices

• Delete everything in the app at any time from Data & health. Deleting the app also deletes its data from your phone.
• Disconnect Apple Health or WHOOP at any time.
• Baseline Logs is for people 18 and older.

Baseline Logs is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Patterns and summaries describe what you recorded, not what caused a symptom. Talk with a qualified clinician about any health decision. In an emergency, call 911.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. If a change affects how the app handles your data, the app will ask you to review and accept it.
